I have actually been painting this Ladurée cake topper —
with loooong breaks — on a cake pedestal for a few years. (Hopefully I
will finish this summer and will post it.) Can't wait to see the real
thing at Ladurée.
Of course, I will probably just stand at this window and worship at the Ladurée
altar for a few moments before going in. If you, too, are a fan of the
luxury baker, I think you can understand my reverence.
Of
course, I must visit Marie-Antoinette's apartments. I'm really more of a
fan of Madame de Pompadour, but I think these rooms are worth a whirl.
In
the meanwhile, I want to get this photo collage from CarolineMint at
Etsy for $20. I just need a reminder that such a place actually exists
on this planet.
